Who is Sheri Menelli?

When Sheri Menelli started her HypnoBirthing business several years ago, she had no idea how make it profitable. But she sure figured it out!

About two years after she started her busienss, Sheri studied everything she could about client attraction, referral systems, and professional affiliations. She explored and modeled successful businesses in other industries, and in a matter of months, she had way more business than she could handle.

As she passed client after client to her struggling colleagues, they begged her to share her secrets… and the Birthing Business tele-classes were born!

With passion and conviction, vision and commitment, Sheri has empowered countless women to reclaim birth as a natural, intuitive process. In addition to her work as a childbirth educator, Sheri produced a radio show, The Real Side of Birth, where she interviewed dozens of moms, doulas, midwifes, doctors, nurses and childbirth instructors to uncover the secrets to a positive birth experience. She also authored and produced two guided meditation CDs and three audio-hypnosis CDs in support of women’s health and well being (topics include breastfeeding, childbirth and sleep).

Perhaps her most notable work to date is her book, Journey into Motherhood: Inspirational Stories of Natural Birth (October 2004). This heartwarming collection of 48 empowering birth stories grew from her experience as a childbirth educator, where she noticed the dramatic impact that birth stories have on a woman’s subsequent birth experience. The book has received widespread acclaim, and many doulas and midwives have made it required reading for their clients.

As much as she loves supporting pregnant women, Sheri is equally passionate about supporting birthing professionals. “When I started out, I wanted to improve the experience of birth for women and babies – and I was doing just that. But in time I realized that I could support many, many more women by teaching other birthing professionals how to bring their gifts to the world.”

Sheri has been featured and quoted in numerous magazines and newspapers, including: Pregnancy magazine, Mothering magazine, Midwifery Today, ALACE's Special Delivery Journal, International Doula, ePregnancy, Albany Times and Ladies Home Journal. She has also been a guest on KGTV, Fox 6 News, and NBC Morning News in San Diego. She lives in Carlsbad, California, with her husband and three daughters
